Privacy policy
What we collect
If you request contractor quotes, we collect the information you enter: your name, email address, optionally your phone number and company, your project details, and the estimate the calculator produced. We also record the page you submitted from and any referral parameters in the URL.
If you only use the calculator, we do not collect anything that identifies you. The calculation runs on the server and is not stored.
Why we collect it
Quote requests are shared with licensed self storage contractors who build in your state, so they can contact you about your project. That is the whole purpose of the form. We do not sell contact data to list brokers.
What we do not do
- We do not require an account or email address to use the calculator.
- We do not sell, rent or trade your contact details.
- We do not send marketing email to addresses collected through the quote form.
Analytics
We use aggregate traffic measurement to understand which guides are useful. Where analytics requires cookies, we ask first; where it does not, we use a cookieless configuration that records page views without identifying individual visitors.
Third parties
Quote requests are transmitted to contractors by email. Those contractors handle your data under their own privacy policies. Our hosting provider processes server logs for security and abuse prevention.
Retention and removal
Lead records are retained while they are commercially useful, generally up to 24 months. You can ask for your record to be deleted at any time and it will be removed within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or accounting purposes.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to its processing. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below.
